| After considerable thought,
the directors of PA support Services Ltd. have decided on a major
change of emphasis. This has been forced upon us by the recent passing
into law of the Care standards Act (2000). It is the unanimous opinion
of the board that the requirements of this Act are so complex and
time-consuming to fulfil as to render the continued provision of
personal assistance to disabled persons by a company as small as PA
Support Services Ltd. impractical and uneconomic. The board has,
therefore, unanimously decided to discontinue the provision of
personal care services and concentrate on the areas of (1) providing
information to disabled people who wish to employ personal assistants
and (2) Marketing nutritional supplements and providing information on
their uses. The latter aspect of our business has been functioning
since 1999 and details can be seen on our companion website
www.collectiveability.co.uk . To this end we are
in the process of setting up an internet
shop on this website where the nutritional supplements we market can
be bought and paid for by credit card. We have
already carried out successful tests on the shopping system (which
uses the well known Paypal system) and expect it to be up and running
in about a month.
We would like to
apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to visitors, but as we
have explained, this change of direction has been forced on us by
circumstances. |
